What is Sungnye Dodam?
Sungnye Dodam is a Korean restaurant in Bukchang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, near City Hall Station Exit 7. We serve pork belly bossam, kimchi-jjim, daepa-jeon, nakji-bokkeum, and makgeolli.
What bossam can I order?
Tasting bossam is one person (₩13,000). Small pork-belly bossam is for two (₩30,000). Medium is for three (₩42,000). Kimchi and side dishes can be refilled; the meat cannot. See the bossam page for sizes.
What is the kimchi-jjim?
Pork shoulder steamed with aged kimchi. Small is for two (₩24,000). Medium is for three (₩35,000). Extra tofu sits well beside it.
Is weekday lunch unlimited rice and makgeolli still on?
Yes. Weekday lunch (11:00–14:00) includes unlimited rice and self-serve makgeolli with cooking and set orders. Confirm the details in the restaurant.
Is there an English menu?
Yes. English, Japanese, and Chinese menus. Staff will help you order.
Is it comfortable for visitors from abroad?
Yes. Many guests are walking City Hall, Deoksugung, SeMA, or Myeongdong. English, Japanese, and Chinese menus are on the table.
How close is City Hall Station?
About a two-minute walk from Line 1 or Line 2, Exit 7 — 122 m. Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong are nearby too.
Can I come without a reservation?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome. Group dining needs a reservation. Call ahead for weekend evenings.
What should I order on a first visit?
Two people: small bossam or small kimchi-jjim, plus daepa-jeon. Larger tables: pick a set sized to the group.

Is there parking?
There is no lot attached to the restaurant. Use nearby public and private parking.
What are your hours?
Daily 11:00–22:00, break 15:00–17:00. Lunch last order 14:00, dinner last order 21:00. No regular closing day.
